Statewide public Telemedicine Platform (MIT REAP Initiative)
I led the technical implementation of Piauí Saúde Digital, the first initiative to provide universal public telemedicine coverage across an entire Brazilian state. Integrated with the Unified Health System (SUS), the platform connected primary care units and hospitals across all 224 municipalities. Within just 30 days, the system delivered a 54% reduction in specialist waiting lists, dramatically improving healthcare access. Developed under the MIT REAP program, the project has surpassed 1 million consultations and reports. The implementation was personally approved by the State Governor during a visit I hosted. This project proves how scalable health tech can eliminate access barriers at a population scale.


Johnson & Johnson: Patient Support Program Rebranding
Telemedicine Crisis Scaling for a Major Health Insurer (COVID-19)
During the COVID-19 peak, I led a 15-person task force to stabilize a major insurer’s telemedicine service as it faced 24-hour waiting lines and frequent crashes. Under extreme pressure, I coordinated the emergency onboarding of 6 million patients within 24 hours. By optimizing platform capacity and processes, we achieved a 400x YoY increase in teleconsultation volume. Impact: average waiting times plummeted from 16 hours to just 30 minutes, and patient drop-off rates decreased 14x compared to competitors. This project demonstrates my ability to lead high-stakes crisis response and scale digital health infrastructure under extreme load.


As Product Lead at Johnson & Johnson, I directed the rebranding and technical delivery of Patient Support Program portals across Latin America. I spearheaded the strategic transition from the Janssen Essential ecosystem to the "Essential Program". My role involved close collaboration with stakeholders in every program in Latin America. I led a Salesforce team to deploy secure, compliant, and user-friendly portals for both patients and healthcare professionals. By redesigning the user experience and prioritizing high-impact features, I successfully reduced project costs while significantly increasing accessibility and engagement. This project highlights my ability to manage complex, regulated digital ecosystems within a global enterprise environment.
